First time at Lib's Grill. Yesterday's dinner was amazing. Shrimp with Cheese Grits were perfect. Big plump shrimp cooked to perfection with a spicy, buttery sauce on top of creamy, cheesy grits. As good as you can get. I also tried the lobster risotto. Lobster was fresh and the portion was generous. From what I could tell it was all tail meat and not the usual claw meat. Continuing my small plate onslaught, I had their deviled eggs which tasted like the quintessential deviled egg, but the texture. The texture was so delicate. To finish it all off, I had the candied bacon. That's right boys and girls, candied bacon!!! How is this stuff even legal. So sweet, delicious and bacony. While I was eating this, I noticed a few hospitality and industry people come in to enjoy their industry night. Apparently, later in the evening on Monday nights they set up a breakfast at night buffet and discount drinks. Can't wait to go back and try more of their creations. I forgot to mention the service was outstanding. Friendly, attentive without being intrusive. Frank (I believe that was his name) the bartender rocks!!

We came here for brunch for the first time today, and it was amazing! My wife ordered the steak and eggs, and I ordered the BLT with a side of deviled eggs. Food came out quick, large portions, and service was excellent. I am very happy we have a new weekend brunch spot!

This is perhaps my best dining experience in some time. We arrived for lunch, only one other couple there. When I look back on this I wonder why more people have not given this place a chance during lunch hours. Awesome service (Ask for Lindsay) she was super friendly and attentive and made great suggestions, she really accommodated my requests as well. Food was amazing, highly recommend the fries and gravy, for only $9 you get enough for two. It not only had gravy, but cheese curds bacon and duck! A real steal of a price and oh so yummy. Lindsay recommended i try the tenderloin steak sandwich when i couldn't make up my mind on what sandwich to try. She was right when she said it was by far the best tasting one. The steak was smoky, the blue cheese creamy, it was just the most perfect steak sandwhich i had ever had for only $9 This was not only an affordable lunch but probably the highest quality I could ask for. Lib's will be a spot I return to time and again as long as I get repeat dining experiences like this. I will also need to come back to try the dinner menu, but this is a gem of a lunch spot without a doubt. Total A+++ in all catergories

The food is good. I had the deviled eggs with crab-delicious, the oyster stew-not thick enough, the oysters-plump, flavorful, orange crush-not orangey enough and the lobster roll-the lobster was overcooked and rubbery. I will be back for the food...here is the problem. The Manager (woman with light hair) was running around in the dining room but never came to our table. We were a party of 8, stop and say "Hi". It gets worse. There was an even larger party (about 18) who was seated right when we were about to leave and they sat them at separate tables, one of the guys complained and explained that they wanted to be seated together, the host tried to accommodate them but the Manager said "no, they're close enough to each other". GTHOH. The next time I come, I'll sit at the bar so I don't have to be privy to the madness.

Great customer service/waiting staff and pretty good food! Started out with oysters and the waiter recommended a couple for us since we are inexperience oyster eaters and what they brought us was very good and a nice variety. The waiter knew a lot. We received a free bacon snack since we weren't seated right away after making a reservation (not a big deal but a free snack was very thoughtful) and the bacon was really good. Sweet and salty. As my entree I got the Baltimore Club and it was very good. The other 2 people I was with got the Crab Cakes and the Seared Tuna. The crab cakes were very good and the Seared Tuna was pretty good. Overall it was a nice dinner and I would go back to try some more things. Oh and I highly recommend the Asian Mule for a cocktail!

My wife Denise and I ate at Libs grill for our 34th wedding anniversary we had island oysters as an appetizer and the the entree of steak and scallops. They split the meal for us which was awesome. The meal and the staff were phenomenal. This is definitely a place we would recommend.

Meh.. I get the 3 star rating and not just from Yelp but the newspaper as well. I think Lib's has got a long way to go before they reach their full potential and my hope is that they truly make it. The beau and I stopped in for some good eats on a Thursday night around 6pm. Was actually quite crowded, but with a new spot in town... people are sure to flock to it. We were seated and greeted almost instantaneously. The waitress was friendly and always checked back on us. And although the service was fabulous... the service is not what makes money - it is the food. I think with the right cook, maybe Lib's will make it. My mother and father had stopped in here a couple weeks back, and they said the food was ok.. but knowing that they are picky, I needed to try it out for myself. I ordered the seafood gumbo, not thinking to ask what my parents had eaten when they came in for dinner. Unfortunately, after I had ordered my mom informed me that my dad had the gumbo and it wasn't too good... imagine how I felt waiting for my meal to come to the table. My beau, on the other hand, ordered a 12 oz. ribeye steak. The food didn't take too long to come out to the table, which was nice. The presentation was rather appealing and I was excited to give it a try. My boyfriend cut into the steak and although he said medium-well, it came out medium and it was not seasoned at all. I don't think I have ever had to see someone add salt to a steak. The seafood gumbo... well, let's just say it tastes like tomato sauce poured over king crab leg meat and some shrimp here and there. I was at least expecting different types of seafood's to be throughout (maybe some real crab meat, maybe some baby scallops) but even more so higher quality seafood. I think it's important to "pick" on this dish since i paid $16 for low quality seafood which was served over white rice. Overall, the meal came to about $40 and we left the restaurant hungry and disappointed. The issue: the prices are astronomical for the subpar quality of good Lib's is serving. The service and overall ambiance of Lib's is on point, my hope is that the kitchen can catch up.

The service was super friendly, and accommodating. We stopped here on our way back from a road trip and were really pleasantly surprised to find a place like this in a strip mall (although what isn't in a strip mall anymore). We had some oysters, which were great. A bit pricey at $2.50 each but comparable to the area. Then we split a steak. The steak was cooked to order, and was delicious. They were very accommodating and put it on two plates for us (we didn't ask or expect this). On the side, we got the lobster mac and cheese which came with a generous amount of lobster and was also delicious. We didn't order anything too complicated so I am not sure what the rest of the food is like, but everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked tasty. I was tempted to just order appetizers because there were so many good options. They have a great drink menu too. I would have given this 5 stars, it was just a priced about 10 - 15% higher than I would have expected for the place (I'm not sure if $$ rating covers it).

My wife and I were there about two weeks ago, I guess. Place was hopping for a Wednesday night! Awesome raw oysters reasonably priced. Great beer on tap. Entrees were awesome...my wife raved about the Kobe steak for days, and your scallops were grilled perfectly. very attentive and friendly staff...we even got seated and got the 411 from the manager himself. Great, fun time. We will definitely be back.

This past Saturday I needed a place to meet my parents for brunch. We usually meet north of Baltimore, about the halfway point for each of us. I read through quite a few reviews before settling on Lib's Grill. The general location was good, but the reviews were mostly excellent. What really impressed me was that the owner (presumably) actually replied to many of the reviews, the good ones and the not so good ones. I was impressed with his professionalism and thoughtfulness. This was a guy who clearly cared about providing good food and service to his customers. When I got there, I stood in front of the restaurant and waited for my folks. I was impressed with the area, which was very new and had a nice look and feel to it. When we got inside, we were immediately seated by a very pleasant (and patient, as my mom now uses a walker) young hostess. Our server, a young gentleman (I can't remember his name, sorry), took great care of us from start to finish. The menu was fantastic, especially for brunch, and there were so many great sounding dishes, that I had trouble picking just one (a rarity for me). Our server was extremely helpful, and made honest recommendations. Mom loved her Crab benedict, Dad loved his enormous full breakfast, and I loved my sandwich (again, my brain doesn't work like it used to, so I can't remember the name of the sandwich). We had an enormous basket of garlic parmesan French fries as an appetizer, and Dad even ate his grits, a first for him (and he's tried grits off and on for 80 years). Our server was very attentive without being overbearing, which is perfect in my book. All in all, it was a nice atmosphere, fantastic food, and fantastic service! We'll definitely be back!

Husband and I were in MD for a quick trip and went to Libs Grill for brunch with the family today. We had an awesome time and our waiter Tess was amazing!! Thank you for being super nice Tess!! Love their bottomless drinks (mimosa and Orange Crushes) until 3:00pm for $15.00p/p. I ordered steak & eggs and my husband had eggs benedict plus a side of devil eggs. Everything was delicious. Although my steak a little undercooked but they quickly resolved it. We will definitely come back to this spot next time we in MD!

I love LIb's. Here in suburbia, where we are condemned to chains like Outback and the come-and-go of smaller places, LIb's is a breath of fresh air. The food is creative but accessible. You don't have to be a foodie to appreciate their special twists on entrees. Steaks are tender and delicious, and the meatloaf is not to be missed. For oyster lovers, every oyster aficionado I've brought here raves about their selection and taste. Oh, and the pretzel bread is awesome. For me it's about the service. They're all down to earth and REAL. No snobby servers and the management and ownership is always circulating. Ask to see Nick, the GM and family owner. Don't forget dessert. Lots of choices of standard fare and some creative inventions. Best kept secret: a very affordable Sunday Brunch. French toast with Nutella! I'd send my favorite friends here and be proud of what they'll find.

The lobster mac and cheese is the best I've ever had The ribeye wood grilled steak was to die for

The place is nice looking. It's modern, but the food was terrible. It was bland and just not tasty at all. But it's a nice dine in place, not very fancy looking but can be, depending of what mood you're in. It fits all moods, unfortunately the food doesn't. We took a couple of bites and left with our doggie bags. Untouched

Neat place with friendly, hospitable staff. I caught happy hour @ the bar, I got the empanadas and a veggie dip. The empanadas were just "ok" hh 4 for $7 not a bad deal- but it was mostly chopped meat with lots of melted cheese and no vegetables. Hey, that might be your thing but not a true empanada. Should have been called a meat/cheese pocket. The veggie dip was huge and had a huge portion of mix vegetables for dipping. a steal @$4. The dip was definitely the star of my short, limited visit. I also got two Moscow mules which actually came in a traditional copper cup. Kudos for the detail!! 3 stars because I have yet to try the oysters and steak. I will be back and update this review.

I have been here twice and each time the food has been delicious and the service was exceptional. I had the lobster roll while children had the breakfast tacos and chicken & waffles (the brunch kids menu is very limited). Everyone enjoyed their food (even the picky eaters). Normally the brunch menu doesn't include Brussels sprouts, but they made an exception for me :-) I would recommend the grapefruit crush as well! The orange crush is good as well, but the grapefruit crush my system ordered was heavenly (and strong too - they sneak up on you). Also - the candied bacon is a must!

  • Bea R.

I've had lunch at their restaurant Liberatores, but decided to meet a friend for happy hour. Great bar! The bartenders were great! I tried the candied bacon. It was good but I was expecting something more. It's just 3 strips of bacon on a small plate....not much of an appetizer but it was good. The atmosphere is great. My friend had a burger and he said it was good. The fries were a little soggy. They have a huge selection of beer on tap and lots of spirits to please even the pickiest of pallets. Overall a great place that's in a small shopping center. I'll be back!

Libs grill is soooooooo awesome! I love the neighborhood vibe filled with fancier elements like a granite bar and great menu. The service and staff are super friendly and attentive, and they have great rapport with their regulars. The food is also delicious -- We came in for a carry out order of crab cakes, because I must have crab cakes daily while in MD. We happened to arrive during happy hour so $1 oysters couldn't be refused. We ordered 18 oysters, which were chucked in front of our eyes, and two Allagash whites while we waited. I'm so glad we did! Their mignonette of pickled onions (I think?!) was great with the horseradish. Everything was wonderful!!!!!! Overall, I'll be back anytime I'm in MD!

Today was my 1st time at Lib's. The wife and I typically go to Their other restaurant up the street. Today I sat at the bar, and I was glad I did. The bartender Sam was very welcoming and friendly. One of the best attitudes I've seen from someone behind the bar in a long time. She was a professional. Now to the food... I got something for lunch off of the prefixed Restaurant Week menu. The portions were huge for $15. I got a Caesar Salad to start... best Caesar Salad I've ever had... pay attention to their croutons... there's a little something special on them for you. Next I got the Chicken sandwich, it came with Grilled Chicken, Candied Bacon, Brie, and thin sliced apples... wow. Great Sandwich, upscale, great presentation, and delicious. Then I finished out the meal with a scoop of ice cream. I had a draft beer as well... the pouring system was great .. the beer was ice cold... I highly suggest you go here... sit at the bar... and ask for Sam. You'll be glad you did...

So I like it here. The food is ok.. Some things were yummier than others (Mac n cheese, truffle fries). The crab cakes were tasty. I think the mashed potatoes were just average. The crab dip was ok.. Nice big pieces of lump crab but the heavy layer of cheese was solid and not melted at all.. My dad got a steak which he said was good. The mussels had a very brothy sauce. Pretty thin. I think that could have been more flavorful and served with something to sop it up. The lamb chops were average. I think that some of the food needed just a bit of extra seasoning.. With that being said, I would return perhaps for lunch or a happy hour. They brought around some peanut butter dessert shooters as a complimentary treat for Father's Day, so I thought that was a nice touch. It was a quaint, neighborhood feel.. Not stuffy but modern and nice. The staff was attentive and very friendly.

this place!! Great atmosphere, so many good choices on the menu it's tough to chose! We sat at the oyster bar, we were served right away. For all of you cheese lovers....The Chefs Board is a Perfect starter...... The selected cheeses are amazing!!! I chose The Burger .... Everything was made exactly how we ordered it. Our new favorite county spot!!

Mmm, I love Lib's Grill more and more each time I go there. My sister and I often meet here for brunch as it is close to where we live, and we can get early reservations without any problems. The deviled eggs with crab are delicious, and we love starting off with some raw oysters (we particularly like the Purple Ravens). Bottomless mimosas/crushes are the way to go for $15; the Bloody Marys are good, but two of them cost more than the bottomless drinks ($8 a piece) so you might as well go bottomless (hee!). I wasn't a huge fan of the lobster roll when I had it (you can see from my pic that it was full of butter/grease/some kind of liquid) but my sister has had it several times recently and said it was really good. I am going to have to give it another shot I guess since I am a sucker for a good lobster roll! We both love the Crab Benedict; the crab cake is so good here, I may have to just start getting the sandwich alone so that I can really enjoy the flavor on it's own. My sister noticed that it tastes a lot like our mom's homemade crab cakes but Lib's uses bigger lumps of meat (sorry Mom!). We had the chocolate covered bacon recently, and while I am a fan, my sister liked the flavors separately although she did think the quality of the chocolate was great. We were even given two little baby brownie bites complimentarily at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch too! Service is always on point, with a teamwork attitude between the crew delivering your food and management often stopping by to make sure that everything is ok. It comes across as genuine, that they really do care that you enjoy your food and have a nice time. And we always do! I could really go for some more oysters and mimosas right now. Hurry up weekend, I'm ready for more brunch!

Excellent service and great food. I had the skirt steak special with asparagus and whip mashed over a Demi glaze. The only knock here was the appetizer (Mussel's). Sauce was bland and watered down and mussels tasty fishy.

This was my first time at Lib's & it was awesome! The atmosphere was great and so was the food. I ordered the Mexican scramble with chorizo ( sooooo good!). My mother ordered the Crab Benedict, which she absolutely loved. We'll definitely have to make a another trip soon for happy hour. Lib's is definitely the new spot to go to. =)

Absolutely the best restaurant in Perry Hall! I've had lots of things - from lamb chops, wonderful shrimp and grits to the yummy candied bacon. I'm not a fan of raw oysters but they have a great selection and friends have raved about them. Brunch is especially good - not to mention bottomless mimosas! Great place to bring family and friends.

Great dinner!!! This was the third time in four months that we dined at your restaurant, and we were pleased each time with the food and the service.

Loved my first visit to Libs. We called ahead and got reservations, we were seated after a quick drink at the bar. For appetizers we had the empanadas and a dozen clams. For entrees we had the meatloaf (with a fried egg on top), shepherds pie, pork chop and the fourth person in our party had the mini crab cake appetizer as an entree. All the food was outstanding. The wine list is good and if you like raw oysters, the selection is incredible. We will definitely be going back.

Went back for the restaurant week special and all I can say is wow! I had the filet my wife had the meatloaf. Both were delicious. We each got appetizers off the special menu. Great drinks once again. The manager even came by and gave us a $10 off card for our next trip. Can't wait to use it.

  • Jasmine T.

You can't beat the buck a shuck oyster deal at happy hour. Everything else is ok to pretty good but nothing to die for. Skip the popcorn and truffle fries because they're just meh but the oyster stew, crab cakes, and kale salad are pretty good. The fish tacos, fried oysters, and cocktails are OK. The pretzel bread they give you is hit or miss--if it's fresh and warm it's delicious but if it's not, it gets tough and dry.

I attended a gathering with 12 people and the restaurant was very busy for a fundraiser. It was a great show of community support that they would sponsor the event. Everyone loved their meals. One meal came out a little late and the manager brought us complimentary trays of desserts. The wait staff, Jen and Sam, worked as a team and did a great job serving such a large party. We were one of 3 large parties they were serving. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was terrific. We will be back.

Libs Grill has fantastic food at reasonable prices. I've had the Lobster Roll, various fries, and just recently Shrimp and Grits, Steamed Shrimp and their chocolate bread pudding. Let me tell you..the shrimp they use are enormous. No skimping for medium sized...they use the biggin's! Service is spectaular and friendly. If you are lucky (like i was), I had Noelle and Jen behind the bar giving me terrific suggestions. (Girls if you are reading this thanks again for being awesome, I'll be back soon!) ** shrimp and grits are my favorite

Composite review. On our frequent trips to MD and the White Marsh area, we get out several times daily for walks, shopping and dining. And of course the never ending trips to Weis Market in the shopping center. Lib's Grill is located very close by and is thus an easy access "drop in" venue -- brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks. Interesting menu, good service, youthful crowd (but then again everyone is youthful compared to us anymore), casual but "upscale" at the same time. Food came out quickly each time; we have not done a full dinner event there yet, just drop ins. Many others in the area recommend Lib's Grill by the way. In this shopping center they are in competition with other places that also have interesting presentations. f8 and be there.

I've been waiting a long time for a legit restaurant that takes pride in the creativity of their menu to open out in the 'burbs. Ever since Lib's Grill opened its doors, I've never been disappointed with their offerings. That being said, I had one of the most GLORIOUS chicken pot pies of my life over the weekend! I am not sure how long they will keep it on the menu with it being a winter comfort food, but I highly recommend everyone trying it. Don't even think about the other options.... You NEED this in your belly before it's gone!

This is almost my favorite restaurant in Perry Hall. It is pricey, but the happy hour specials are great and the raw bar is delicious. I always get the Moscow Mule to drink there, never disappoints. The Sunday night dinner special is great. 25 bucks for A soup/salad, Prime Rib two sides and a dessert. Love it!!

I've been here twice and both experiences were disappointing. The service was good but I was disappointed with some of the food. Soups and fries were over salted. Salads and craft cocktails were yummy.

  • Olivia L.

Went to Lib's for brunch and it was amazing!!! I got the crab eggs Benedict which was awesome...usually places just give you lump crab meat with that entree but Libs gives you a whole crabcake! It was awesome...my fiancé got "the works" which was eggs, pancake, bacon, sausage, scrapple, and tater tots for a reasonable price. For 15$ you can have unlimited mimosas or orange crushes. My last review was about the dinner menu which was amazing as well but still the service is why I still give it 4 stars and not 5---nice servers, but we had to wait a long time to get our check to pay.

I've been here for brunch, lunch and dinner multiple times. All three meals have been pretty decent, nothing to rant and rave about though. The drinks are mediocre but the service has always been great. The atmosphere is lacking, needs some updating, feels sort of like a banquet hall in the dining room. I will say I love Liberatore's and Liquid Lib's though, so check them out!

  • Carrie F.

This is not a 5 star restaurant, but I like to grade based on value and what I get for what I pay. Not a terribly expensive place with some really great and varied menu offerings. Ummmm.... brown sugar glazed bacon??? Yes please! The cocktail list was extensive. The decor leaves a bit to be desired, but then again, this is supposed to be a casual place. I may be a little influenced by the proximity to my house, but I think our neighborhood was lacking a slightly elevated type of contemporary restaurant.

Came down to Maryland on Friday for a Saturday wedding and needed dinner. After some googling my girlfriend and I cam across Lib's and decided to give it a shot... Boy am I glad I did! Everything was delicious... We had ; Candied Bacon (omg), Crab Dip, Deep Fried Lobster Tail (SO MUCH YES), and the braised short ribs. Everything was absolutely fantastic, I only wish they were local, I'd happily return many times over. Service was fine, nothing amazing, but they were attentive and courteous. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation now!

Very unassuming small place near The Avenue.. Ssshh its a secret don't want the mall people to come here. Didn't know all the fuss about why my bf keeps wanting me to try this place. Nice decor, atmosphere with a raw bar! Yummo. Saw one of the servers giving 1oz sample of beers to a guy next to our table since he was not sure what he wanted. Pretty nice I guess. Well we came here last Saturday night (St. pat's weekend) and the hostess was nice to give us a heads up when a table opened up by the bar area. He was like, hurry =) that was good since waiting time is 45 minutes to be seated But the food was good; we had the fried oysters to start with. Not overly battered or oily and taste fresh; i had the lobster roll poached in butter (my fave of course) it came with freshly cut frenchfries. Lobster was cooked perfectly and very fresh, i would loved to have a factor of crunch on my sandwich to give it some texture. Bf got the rack of lamb cooked perfectly as he ordered it, with mashed sweet potato and everything was prepared and seasoned nicely. The place seems to be too loud with chatter amongst the patrons, i guess since its a very small place but it didn't give me any headache since everyone is on their good behavior just enjoying a night out with their friends or loved ones. Bdw the restroom were clean which i really appreciate and offered some mints, hand lotion, female products and facial tissues. Will definitely come back here again!

I think the early bugs have been worked out and they are now on their game. Nick was wonderful to invite me back. (Thank you!) It is now one of our favorite places. Well done on all fronts! If you go (and you should), try their bacon snack. Seriously. Just do it!!

YEAH!!! A new favorite. Very very friendly place. We went on a Saturday night and they had live music. Very loud but not obnoxious. Pretty laid back atmosphere. Our waiter was a really cool, funny guy. The manager came up to our table she was really friendly as well, very inviting. Definitely made us want to come back. We started with the shrimp and grits and truffle fries for our appetizers. Delish!!!!! The shrimp and grits were very buttery and the shrimp was not over cooked like it usually is everywhere else I go. The truffle fries were very tasty and a lot of garlic. I had the lobster roll and my mother had the pan seared chicken. I would order both when I go back!! We took most of it home because it was so much food. Not complaining of course. You definitely get your moneys worth here. We ended with espresso martinis and heath bar bread pudding. The bread pudding was decadent! I definitely approve of this place!!!!!!

I love Libs Grill. I come often and some of my favs are the Oyster Stew, Deviled Eggs, Fish Taco's, Raw Bar and tap beer selection. I've been wanting to come on a Sunday to try the Prime Rib for a long time and finally got that opportunity. I was extremely disappointed. I ordered it Med Rare (duh) and I'm not sure how it was pre-cooked/pre-prepped but it was extremely dry and barely warm. The au jus was needed just to make it edible. Very disappointed with a "signature dish". I'll be back but not for the Prime Rib for sure.

Tiny little spot located in a shopping center! Appetizers were good got the buffalo tenders. I ordered oysters tasted very fishy! Let management know they were very apologetic and gave us dessert on the house, which was a nice gesture!

This is one of my most favorite spots for dinner and drinks in the area. I have never had a bad meal here. My girlfriend and I decided to try their brunch on sat. We showed up when they opened and were seated quickly. We ordered the sausage egg and cheese sandwich and the philly cheese omelet. Our food came out quick and for the most part was good. The reason I gave it 4 stars was I had no cheese in my omelet. It was good but would prob only do lunch and dinner.

We really wanted to like this place. What a disappointment! My husband ordered a hamburger medium well, but instead received a charcoal briquette on a bun. My lobster roll was okay...but I've had better from a roadside stand in Delaware. Instead of taking the burger off of the bill, they gave us two tiny shooters of what tasted like canned butterscotch pudding with a shot of whipped cream. We won't be back.

Our first trip to Libs was on Jan. 6th. We had been looking forward to checking out the new local spot even after reading the mixed reviews. Here is what we experienced... The good: atmosphere is much improved over the previous Manhattan Grill. Very tastefully decorated and feels more welcoming. We love oysters and are very happy to have a spot close by to slurp. As far as the food is concerned, we did not have any of the entrees on our first visit, instead opting for small plates. We loved the bacon and popcorn snacks and at $3 each, a great deal. We also enjoyed the soup du jour which was a cream of mushroom (though more care could have been put into the presentation as the lips of our bowls were covered in soup and it looked messy). The bad: the chef plate of charcuterie and cheese. The meat was ok, but the tiny little pieces of cheese that accompanied was a rip off. The balsamic glaze was the worst I've tasted and the olives were the kind of cocktail olives with pimentos that you might expect as an accompaniment on a Bloody Mary but not on a cheese board. Also, though I appreciate that Libs has a better selection of craft beers than did Manhattan, there is definitely room for improvement. It was loud in the bar area. I hope it was only due to the playoffs on tv and that the TVs are not always blaring at full blast. My last comment is regarding the oyster board. The board boasts nearly 40 types of oysters. The night we were there only 3 types were checked as available. Seems odd to advertise so many and only have a couple of options available. Regardless, I'm hopeful that Libs will continue to improve and succeed. We desperately need a hip local spot around so we can avoid always having to drive to the city.

Absolutely fantastic service Gavin and Sam were outstanding and the food across the menu is delicious!

Have been here numerous times and have not been disappointed. The shrimp and grits is the bomb! Not sure why some of the reviews are so terrible. Great place for dinner!

Food was good but the prices, atmosphere, and service was poor. The bartender was great in the beginning and very friendly but as soon as he took our food order, the service went way down hill. There seemed to be two or three bartenders( hard to tell with servers walking behind the bar all the time). Had to ask for new drinks each time. Prices were expensive for what we got. The only think worth the price were the gravy and fries. The wait staff actually was the loudest in this place which was a bit out of place as I did not want to hear about how much they went out partying and hated their roommates.

Had a work dinner with a limited offering menu. Arrived at 6 PM, ordered by 6:30 and left right after dessert at 8:45. That means two plus LONG hours for our meal AFTER we ordered! Too long for food that was below average. I had only one of the two fish taco appetizers as they were soft and had zero taste. I had salmon and requested no spuds and double veggies, but looked like single veggie and the salmon was cool and watery and lacked any taste also. Would not return, even if work was paying for it.

I really wanted to like this place because everything on the menu sounded so good and kinda fancy. Some friends and I came here pretty late on a Saturday night and there were still a good number of people eating, which is usually a good sign. I think the concept is really neat -- you don't see any seafood, steak, and raw bar restaurants in the White Marsh area. We started with the shrimp cocktail (slightly overcooked so it was tougher than I would like), the bacon bleu cheese tater tots (exactly what it sounded like and this was the best part of the meal - the tater tots were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside), and the clams (super salty, kinda greasy, nothing special). I ordered the scallops for my entree. I really enjoyed the mushroom risotto that accompanied it, but the scallops themselves were SO salty. I felt like my blood pressure sky rocketed after that meal. The scallops were fresh and good quality, but ruined by the excessive sodium. I also tried my friends french fries and they were undercooked. I think that the restaurant uses good quality ingredients, but the execution needs to be carried out better, especially for the price that they are charging.

We stopped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. After reading some reviews, we had put off going. The oysters were awesome and the guy shucking them was very helpful in picking out which ones to get. The bartender was very friendly and service was great. I would definitely return.

This place is dangerously close to my house! My wife and I quickly became addicted to their menu and service. I've genuinely loved everything I've eaten at Lib's. Some of my favs are the Crab Benedict and the lobster sandwich. My wife has been hooked on the chicken sandwich with the slice of apple and brie. The menu seems to be constantly evolving, which I assume to be a good sign of a chef that truly enjoys what they do. They also have a really good selection of raw oysters, when in season. Check this place out, it's worth every penny!

Went in for dinner with a friend, and was happy that she chose this place! Had the bacon "snack".... Which was awesome, and the popcorn which was equally impressive..... Well, maybe not as impressive as the bacon, but what is, right? I went with the 20oz prime rib..... Looked more like 30! It was great! The staff was friendly, and the general manager even came by to check on us. I will definitely be back!

As I've said, I'd love to have a great restaurant like this one in our neighborhood and that's why I've given this one a few tries. Unfortunately the food and service have not improved at all. What a disappointment. I will not be giving this one any more tries.

So this is my second time here. The service has been extremely better. The food is exceptional, my girlfriend and I got the happy hour tacos which were awesome. The tuna appetizer is very fresh and amazing as well. They have a decent wine list and are knowledgable. Nice evening.

So I'm not sure what took my husband and I so long to try this place out but how refreshing to finally have a place around here that is not a crappy chain and actually has some hip food choices and drinks on the menu. We went for brunch and the waitress was very attentive and the food came out extremely fast! She even gave us a complimentary taste of dessert when we were done our meal since it was our first time there. I can't remember the last time I had a waitress go above and beyond. We started off with two bacon bloody marys (both very good) and the cracker fried oysters. The oysters were were prepared perfectly and I would order them again. My husband got the Baltimore club and I had a bite and it was extremely tasty and a good size portion for the price. I got the croque madame and I think the croque madame could have been better but I am pretty picky when it comes to french food since I am french. I think it should have had gruyere cheese not american and I am not a huge fan of it being on french toast but that is just my personal taste. The homemade tater tots that came with it were hot and crispy and I love the little fryer basket that they were served in. I will definitely come back with my friends for happy hour and get some of those amazing looking cocktails and fresh oysters they have listed on the board inside and with my husband to have a lobster dinner which the waitress informed us was only $18! on tuesdays I believe. I hope this place stays around for a while as its refreshing to know there is a nice bar/restaurant that is close to home and seems to have great service and food! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I didn't love my sandwich but lets be real it didn't stop me from eating it! I just think they could improve the recipe a bit!

Service was good. That's all that was good. The manhattan I ordered appeared to have been mixed with coke or something. It was definitely not the right flavor for this classic drink. In addition, the crab cake sandwich was very bland. Was excited to try the Gouda mashed potatoes, but they were also bland and I couldn't detect any Gouda flavor.

Walked in to a huge crowd waiting for their tables and over heard they waited over an hour. Luckily, we were seated on time. Great atmosphere. Excellent service but it was annoying after three separate waiters asking the same question three times in a row. Food: NY strip Steak was not seasoned at all and really dry. Mashed potatoes also lacked flavor and broccoli was over cooked ( it was brown) My friend ordered sea bass and it was moist. Unfortunately her side of crab salad tasted weird and also lacked flavors. The wedge salad was really good! Ordered oysters but never arrived nor was it on the check If I were to return, I might stick with seafood instead. They really need to look into the flavors and seasoning of the dishes.

We went for the first time during Sunday brunch at 12:30pm. It wasn't crowded at all and we sat down immediately. My husband and I love bloody mary's so we got the Bacon Bloody Mary. It was good but I have had better. My husband got the CROQUE MADAME french toast sandwich, ham, cheese, sunny side up egg. He really enjoyed it and for $9 it was a good price with hash browns. My son (3 years old) got the kids chicken fingers. They were a large portion enough for an adult for sure. Lastly I got the tomato soup and wedge salad. The soup was good but from the description I thought it would have croutons but they must be ground up in the soup. The wedge salad was good not too over powering. Sometimes places drown it is dressing but this one was very light. The prices were reasonable and the serve was good. We will come back for lunch or dinner sometime soon. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the bloody mark could use some work. The celery didn't look fresh and it lacked in spice and flavor.

Had a late dinner. Crowded with very little free tables. People must like it here but I was not impressed. Ordered crabcake which did have large lumps of crab, but otherwise was pretty tasteless and a bit too creamy/mayo. Husband ordered salmon dish which was meh.

Food was great! Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were very fresh. I would recommend the MD crab soup as a starter, good spice and good consistency. The Heath Bar bread pudding was on point! Service was superb especially on a busy Friday night-- We will defiantly be returning soon! Thanks Brooke!

Ok, so my wife and I live locally and we are in our late 20's/early 30's. We've been twice in the first two weeks they've opened - both times for dinner. Once, we sat in the bar area. Once, we sat in the dining room. We eat out a lot and are not picky eaters. So, here's the good and the bad: The good: The fresh strawberry crush served in a mason jar is flat out amazing. Delicious! Try it. In fact, the whole drink menu is very creative & looks delicious. "Van Gogh" vodka is the house vodka in many of these drinks. The atmosphere in the place is pretty great too. Looks like a happening place and is a HUGE upgrade over the former Manhattan Grill. Also, one wall is a big chalkboard where they list the fresh oysters they have for the day. Pretty neat. They serve the oysters well. The menu is expansive and looks delicious. They have snacks ($3 each), appetizers, soups/salads, entrees and desserts etc. Creative inspiration on the menu. Of course, the oysters are delicious and they have a good selection. Also a neat idea of serving weekend brunch which could be cool but we haven't tried yet. The bad: All of the above is great in theory, but not so great if you cannot execute. They are a new place so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they set the bar high next door at Liberatore's and this place falls far short. The servers admittedly on both occasions we were there said they have not tried the food yet, so they could not offer us suggestions. I would think perhaps a tasting for the wait staff would be in order? And importantly to us are the fact that drinks are extremely slow, at least to the dining room. Like, eat all of your oysters and your appetizers without a new beverage-type slow. They have a menu item called "The Hall" salad which uses frozen seafood that tastes like it has been sitting in a bowl of water and virtually no dressing. While the AMOUNT of seafood you get with it is good, it had zero flavor & an awful texture and I would suggest that you avoid this menu item like the plague. The seafood bake is ok - seafood was cooked correctly just not a ton of flavor. The braised beef was good and I would probably get that again since its at a decent price point of $18.00. Have yet to try the steak. Will be back to try the steak since this is a steak & seafood place. Will give it one more shot. My suggestions, so far: Eat dinner next door at Liberatore's then come to this place for drinks (at the bar area) if the bar at Liberatore's is full. I hope that they will change my mind, but so far, I can only rate this place as so-so in regards to the service and food. Will not incredibly disappoint, but if you're a couple eating out and after dinner and drinks you're dropping $100-$150 you simply expect better. And I'm a local, and I REALLY want Lib's Grill to succeed because a steak & oyster grill is EXACTLY what we need in this area. Come on Lib's - tighten it up guys!!

Meets the high standards we have come to expect at Liberatore's. We live nearby and have been for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights on several occasions. Always ready to try something new from their extensive menu. We have had oysters, wings, empanadas, burgers, crab cakes, flatbreads, salads, steak, fish of the day, and several entrees. So far my favorite is to get a salad, huge creative salads, and a flatbread. My husband really enjoys their steaks and the different sauces you can choose from to accompany the meat. Only had desert once during restaurant week. Not sure if they are homemade but the cheesecake was gigantic and delicious. We will be returning very soon...as in tonight.
